The rooms are clean and the care for the hotel decks and pool are great. There is always someone sweeping and doing chores. If you need something, you call. There has never been a time when you wait too long for anything. Maintenance and often the owners will run up to your room and do what they can to help. They really do care if your vacation is a pleasant one. On any day you will find the owners grandchildren or son walking around. There is always someone present. Its family owned and OPERATED. Just owning a place doesn't matter if you don't spend the time and monitor the facility. Yhey do and believe me, even if something gets past them, it gets fixed as soon as they hear about it.

We go year after year and there is always a big smile and a great hello. The Matador may not have a spa or restaurant bar with umbrella drinks, but its a place that becomes familiar, like a home away from home for all its guests. Now if you are a true NJ shore vacationer, that's what you truly want. Kick off your sandy shoes and relax, have fun or do whatever. The Matador offers the warmth of family vacation."

"The Matador is everything to us. We've been vacationing twice every summer at the Matador for many years now. The staff is always at their utmost Best, and they can never do enough to make sure you have everything you need.

The convenience of being right at the Boardwalk and the Beach is awesome. To wake up at 6AM and walk out on the deck to see the sun rise, it's the best view. To sit and watch the ocean with the sun sparkling on it or the moon shining on the water at night like little diamonds dancing on the water. The view is spectacular. We love to dolphin watch just sitting outside our room.

I love the fact that it is truly a family oriented motel, and my entire family all come down at the same time at summers end, and we always have about 3 or 4 rooms booked. My Mom Theresa Clark, loves to walk around and talk to everyone, and the nice thing is everyone is always so nice, every year you make new friends.

The Matador IS truly our home away from home, wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. We have become the eternal guests of the Matador.

To Rosalie & Carmen, Stephen, Sammy, Tex, Torchy, Marianne, Carol and to whoever else I might have forgotten to mention, our vacations are what they are because of all of you. If it was up to me, I would give you 5 stars. Thank you for all the years of pleasure, fun and R & R. Love you guys."

No other Jersey shore town competes. This town has it all - the huge beach, the exciting boardwalk, the great motels/hotels, the wonderful restaurants, the gracious people, the clubs, the stores...there are just too many things to list. "Best place to stay. The location was great. Boardwalk and beach was right outside of our room. Just a few short steps. When you have children with you there is no better place to stay than a motel that has the beach and boardwalk so close. The playground came in handy at night when we wanted to get out some "extra" energy before bed. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Loved the pool! And lastly it was very quiet and so peacefull. Will definately stay there again. Thanks for everything!"
